Greg Halstead is a 20-year-old student from Daytona Beach, Florida. Appearing in the newest season of the MTV reality show The Real World, he is the first cast member to be selected by viewers, who voted for his alias “PretyBoy” in the online poll set up by the network for the purpose. It features seven strangers who live in a house for several months while cameras record their every move. The show moves to a different city each season. The Real World: Hollywood is the twentieth and latest installment to this highly successful series.
After thousands of hopefuls vying for a place in the final cast, Halstead emerged the winner. According to MTV, they think Halstead will be great for the show.
Halstead admits to having a peculiar outlook in life. He refers to everyone around him as peasants and addresses women as associates. Aside from this, he is also very competitive when it comes to sports and academics. He said he doesn’t expect to be popular among his roommates since he is a self-confessed prankster. Also, he confesses to being a potty mouth, as tend to use profanity too often.
For this season, majority of the cast aspire to work in the entertainment and broadcast industries, precisely the reason why it is set in Hollywood, California. For the first time, the cast will also depend on environmentally friendly amenities, such as a solar-heated swimming pool, bamboo flooring, and energy-efficient lighting, among others. For his part, although Halstead is a criminal justice major at the University of Florida, he plans to venture into Hollywood and hopes to become a model. It was reported in August last year that Halstead left the show following an unclear series of events.
