Alton Williams was featured as a member of the cast in the twelfth season of the MTV reality television series The Real World, which was set in Las Vegas. He was 22 years old during the time of the show and came from San Diego, California, though he originally hailed from Ohio. Williams has been described as having a love of the great outdoors, enjoying activities such as rock climbing. He is also fond of playing the violin, and constantly tries to maintain a positive outlook on life, coupled with a frenetic and highly motivated demeanor that prefers to be on the go.
However, his cheerful personality was also said to be built on a layer of past tragedy and pain in his family life. Williams was raised a Navy brat, and he has traveled all over the United States, having settled most recently at the time with his mother in San Diego. He also maintained close ties to his whole extended family of people he has met serving in the armed forces. Williams has also been described as having limitless energy for his various and diverse interests, and that he is fond of adventuring and experiencing many new things.
