Former 'The Real World' Cast Member Signs Up for Another Reality Series
Last Week, the USA Network announced that former The Real World: Las Vegas star Trishelle Cannatella has signed up for the new reality series, Dr. Steve-O.  The show, which will document the former Jackass star as he tries to toughen up men across the United States, will premiere on October 1 on the cable network.

Cannatella will serve as Steve-O's assistant.  She has been deemed by the network as Steve-O's “Nurse on Duty.”  Together, they will use a “specifically tailored” series of "shockingly hilarious stunts and embarrassingly funny and demented dares" in order to get their subjects to discard their dorky ways.

"We are thrilled to have Trishelle joining Steve-O for this one of a kind program," USA's executive vice president original programming Jeff Wachtel said.  "With her sex appeal and southern charm, she's a woman who will definitely help our guys find their new personas."

The 27-year-old star from Louisiana began her career in reality television in 2002, when she was cast in the 12th season of The Real World.  The edition was set in Las Vegas at the Palms Hotel and Casino, wherein she and her roommates worked.  Her involvement with castmate Steven Hill was one of the highlights of the season, especially when they experienced a pregnancy scare.

Subsequently, Trishelle Cannatella appeared in MTV's Real World/Road Rules Challenge: The Gauntlet, wherein she had an on-screen romance with castmate Mike Mizanin.  Their relationship caused tension between Mizanin and his friend Coral Smith, who disapproved of Cannatella.  The relationship eventually failed, though Cannatella and Mizanin later became friends.  Cannatella was eliminated during the tenth episode.

Other reality series that Cannatella has appeared in include The Surreal Life 2 and Fear Factor.  She was most recently seen in this summer's Reunited: The Real World Las Vegas.

Bunim/Murray Productions, the same company behind The Real World, is heading the production of Dr. Steve-O, with Jonathan Murray and Jeff Jenkins serving as executive producers.
