I admit it. I live for the MTV challenges. I want it all:
The Duel,
Fresh Meat,
The Inferno, and especially,
The Gauntlet. Later this month,
The Gauntlet returns with 32 people competing for the grand prize. The trailer went up on MTV.com this week and it looks like bigger and badder than ever. The cast features 16 rookies to the challenges and 16 veterans battling it out in Mexico. Just when you thought the drama couldn't soar any higher, MTV outdoes itself with this explosive new season. Here's a look at the Real Worlders in the cast and what juicy things we can expect from them.
The veterans' team features Adam and CT of Paris,
Brad and
Robin of San Diego, Danny from the Austin cast, as well as
John and
Paula from Key West. Two awesome bad girls return after a little hiatus:
Coral from Back to New York and Beth from Los Angeles. The rookies' team gives us
Frank of Vegas,
Johanna, Melinda, and Nehemiah from Austin,
Janelle from Key West, and
Alex and
Brooke of Denver.

The last time we saw Brooke, there was something very different about her. Well, two very different things in the form of breast implants. She wasn't going to Mexico without surprising again and this time, she didn't just change her appearance, she changed her sexuality. Apparently, Brooke is now a lesbian and pretty much makes out with every female cast member she can get her hands on. Hear that, guys?
CT returns with girlfriend
Diem, of
Fresh Meat fame. However, it's not all happy in CT land as they find themselves in a heated argument early on. Don't expect Coral to stand by while CT talks down to her friend. She jumps right in and gets in his face, lecturing him about how he should talk to women. Of course, Beth will stir things up by throwing challenges as she cackles away. If this season is anything like the other nine thousand seasons she's appeared on, she won't make any friends. Oh, except maybe Nehemiah. I never understand what that little showmance was about.
January 23rd can't come fast enough and for those needing a fix before then, you can check out the trailer on MTV.com.
