started things off on The Real World: Hollywood
with a bang. Within days of arriving at The Real World house, she was contacted by police in her home state of Pennsylvania and notified that there was a warrant out for her arrest. Before heading out to California, Brianna was arrested for harassment and assault of her ex-boyfriend. In tonight's episode, Brianna heads home to face the music and decides to bring one of her roommates along with her for moral support. Yesterday, Brianna spoke to BuddyTV in an exclusive interview about who she brought, if things went her way in the courtroom, and if she's happy with her Real World
Below, you will find the complete transcript and mp3 of the interview.
The Real World is available on Amazon Prime.
Hey everybody, this is Gina from BuddyTV and today, I’m talking to Brianna from The Real World: Hollywood.
Hey Brianna, how are you?
Good, how are you?
I’m good, thanks so much for doing the interview. You’re the first Hollywood cast member I’ve talked to this season.
Oh cool. I feel much obliged.
The Real World is so popular on BuddyTV’s site and everybody wants to know about you. Tell me why you decided to try out for The Real World.
Well, actually, my roommate from home had been talking about it for a few weeks. My ex-boyfriend and I, he wanted us to go, so we were like, “Alright, why not?” It was kinda weird how it happened. The auditions were at 7 o’clock in the morning and I didn’t get to bed that night until 4 in the morning. When he called me that morning to wake up and go, I kinda really didn’t want to. You know when you’re sleeping how nothing else is important no matter how important it really is? I really didn’t wanna go and I was thinking about not going. I felt bad for him. I didn’t want him to go by himself. So I was like, “Alright fine, I’ll just get up and go with you.” So we got up in line and my ex-boyfriend and I actually made it through the first cut so I thought that was pretty cool. I didn’t really expect anything and I guess that kinda helped in me making it because I kinda just BS’d my way through it, pretty much like, “I really don’t care, it’s kinda cool”, having a good time. I really didn’t get my hopes up for anything. I guess when you least expect something, that’s when it happens, you know?
Were you surprised by how quickly the drama exploded in The Real World house? It was pretty early on, this season, that everybody started fighting.
Oh yeah, absolutely. Walking in there, meeting everybody, it was so weird. I really thought they were all actors because everybody was so excited. Everybody thought that about me, too. They thought that I was an actress. Come to find out, everybody is really real. It’s pretty cool – the fact that we are so much alike but yet, we’re all so different. We all walked into the house thinking, “It’s the 7 of us, we have this awesome opportunity, we’re all best friends” and then to come find out, I really, absolutely hate these people. I cannot stand these people. We learned to live with one another, we learned to grow with one another, and a lot of us experienced people and things that we’ve never experienced in our lives.
So on tomorrow night’s episode, you go back to Philly to deal with your legal issues. What made you decide to bring Will with you? Did he offer or did you ask?
Well, I asked Will simply because I didn’t want to bring Joey back because I knew I was going to be seeing my ex-boyfriend. I knew it was going to be a lot of drama. The funny thing is that my ex thought that Will and I were hooking up. He made a big deal about it to my roommate who had still talked to him at the time. I was originally going to bring Greg back because I was planning on getting a fake I.D. down here. I was thinking that it would be a really good idea, that Greg could get one, ‘cause we were both underage. It all ended up working out. Greg got one while we were out there so Will came back with me because Will said that he had never seen the city. I figured that he would be the best choice and I know my mom would’ve loved him.
And can we look forward to a happy resolution with your legal issues?
Um, not for me, that’s for damn sure. Luckily, I didn’t have to face any jail time but the consequences that I did have to face were absolutely not to my liking especially because it all could have been avoided. I do blame myself for a lot of the things that went on, mainly me not dumping Bobby a year and a half before, me just continuing on with the drama that absolutely could have been avoided, me not calling the police because I ended up just screwing myself. You know, everything happens for a reason. I know it’s definitely made me a stronger person – me seeing my P.O. every day and realizing how much I hate her. I don’t really hate her as a person but I hate her job and I hate that I feel like she treats me like a criminal and I’m not. I demand respect, she demands respect. I give her respect and I don’t feel like it’s returned. It’s a lot of drama and you have to face consequences for your actions.
Well, has being on The Real World, has this been an experience that you’re really happy with? Is it satisfying?
Absolutely, definitely! A lot of people come up to me daily and ask me if I would ever do it again and I mean, it’s crazy but I take everything with a grain of salt. I take everything as a learning experience. I’m really happy with everything that I’ve learned being out there and I would absolutely do it again, a challenge, if they have Real World Hollywood reunited like they did back to Las Vegas with Trishelle and Brynn and everyone. If they brought us back for a Hollywood reunion, I’d definitely do it again. Yeah, I think I owe a lot to Bunim-Murray and MTV and everything. They’re definitely helping me move forward with my singing career and I’m very, very thankful for this opportunity.
Well, I’m really glad we got a few minutes to get to know you and I just wanted to wish you good luck. I hope we get to meet up sometime.
Oh, thanks so much. We definitely will.
Alright, thanks Bri.
