Tonight on The Real Housewives of Orange County, Vicki continues to try and sway Briana's opinion of Brooks. We get to meet new housewife Lydia, who wants to include Heather and Terry's home in her lifestyle magazine. The new wife on the block shares some scary similarities with Alexis that don't go unnoticed by Heather. Meanwhile, Vicki and Tamra grow closer.

Briana is Calling the Shots

Alexis is the first of the OC housewives to see Briana and Ryan's son Troy. She brings him a Gucci onesie because spit-up always looks better on designer baby clothes. Vicki's face is "settling," for lack of a better word, making her appearance less disturbing. Briana, Vicki and Alexis sit down to eat lunch and Alexis asks Vicki about Brooks. As Vicki tells Alexis that she hasn't seen her on again/off again beau in about six weeks, Briana sits at the table smirking. It turns out that Vicki isn't as in control as she has been in previous seasons. Briana has laid down some ground rules of her own. As long as she's living in the house and paying rent, Briana doesn't want Brooks in the house. Briana is sitting pretty since she has the grandson card she can play as well.

Alexis tries to figure out the current status of Brooks and Vicki's (Bricks) relationship and gets the same muddled explanation that Gretchen and Tamra received in last week's episode. They are "letting the dust settle." Vicki admits that it is difficult to explain what is going on between her and Brooks because she's even confused. She admits that she misses him. She tells Alexis that Brooks feels that as long as their dating creates so much turmoil, it isn't going to work. Alexis asks Briana how she feels about everything, and Briana responds that she wants her mom to find a good guy. This immediately puts Vicki on the defensive. She tells her daughter that Brooks is a good guy. Alexis tells Vicki that she hopes Vicki isn't depriving herself of happiness just to please everyone else.

Bringing Up Baby?

Tamra and Gretchen go shopping for baby Troy and get sidetracked. They strap Gretchen up with a carrier containing a baby doll. Gretchen is definitely entertaining the idea of procreating with Slade. She says they are doing well financially and they're happy, so they might as well have a baby now. Tamra is concerned that Gretchen might be a bit self-centered to become a parent.

Mother/Daughter Bonding Time

Briana takes Troy and goes to Vicki's office to help her mom with some busywork. They start to discuss their living situation. Briana and Ryan moved in because Ryan was supposed to be deployed just a few weeks after Troy's birth. Apparently, plans have changed and he's not going anywhere anytime soon. After all her earlier smirking, she does express to Vicki that she doesn't want to hold her mother back from receiving "gentleman callers." She just can't past the fact that Brooks makes her uncomfortable. Vicki is trying very hard to come across as a martyr, but fails miserably. She constantly talks about sacrificing her own happiness, therefore negating any sympathy she might otherwise garner by not seeing Brooks.

Vicki chastises Briana for being hard and opinionated when it comes to Brooks. Briana reveals that Vicki says she and Brooks are broken up but that her mother is constantly sneaking off to talk to him. She doesn't believe her mother is being forthright. Vicki tells Briana that she doesn't like the fact that she has said she doesn't want him at the house. Briana admits that not only does she have no interest in trying to get to know Brooks better anytime soon, she also doesn't think she'll want to be around him ever. Briana tells Vicki that if she wants to start bringing her "ex-boyfriend" to the house, she and her little family will gladly vacate the premises.

Hi, I'm Lydia and I'm a Hugger

We meet the newest housewife, Lydia McLaughlin, who is the owner of Beverly Hills Lifestyle magazine. She looks about 16, has very large teeth and bulging eyes (shout out to Ramona Singer from RHONY). Truthfully, she resembles a meerkat. Lydia would like to do a photo shoot of Heather and Terry's home. The Dubrows have one caveat: they want the cover baby or no dice. Lydia also happens to be somewhat chummy with Alexis. Heather is a bit dubious about Lydia given her association with Alexis, but is willing to give her a chance because Lydia is also friends with a good friend of Heather's.

It's Alexis 2.0

So here's the 411 on Lydia. She and her husband Doug have been married for seven years and have two young boys, Maverick and Stirling. They reside in Dana Point, which must be a big deal because she does a little dance to celebrate her good fortune. She and her husband met through a Christian organization they were both volunteering for, and faith continues to be important to them both. She's a princess (shocker) who expects everything to go her way (gasp). Apparently, it has so far because we see her and hubby Doug go on a lavish date night. Lydia mentions Heather's home and her desire to be on the cover of the magazine. Doug immediately dismisses the request. Lydia doesn't want to play bad cop, so it looks like Doug will be delivering the news to Heather and Terry.

Making Up is Hard to Do

Vicki and Tamra decide to get together for dinner. Tamra admits to being hurt, so of course Vicki says she was really hurt. She feels their friendship failed for a year and not because she wanted it to, implying that Tamra did. Tamra claims she doesn't have anything against Brooks, which is crap because she trash-talked him during most of season 7. Vicki's been basically pissed off because nobody likes her boyfriend. Tamra believes that she became the scapegoat because Vicki doesn't want to deal with Brooks' biggest detractor, Briana. Tamra finally figures out that the best thing to do is stay out of Vicki's relationship. She gives Vicki her blessing regarding Brooks, and they promise to fight clean and fair in the future.

I'm looking forward to next week's episode and Tamra's dinner party. How likely is this group to let "Jesus Jugs" back into the fold?
