Earlier in the season
on The Real Housewives of Orange County
, former housewife Lauri Peterson appeared on an episode with the sole purpose of arming Gretchen Rossi with some powerful ammunition to use
against Vicki Gunvalson. Now after this week's episode
where Vicki and Lauri hashed it out on the ski slopes in Canada, Lauri is doing a little backtracking concerning the rumors she spread.

"I was very clear that when I walked into the room, they were in bed under the covers. I couldn't see what they were doing," Lauri said during a recent appearance on Watch What Happens Live
. "It wasn't just the first time, it was the second time, same people. I didn't want to say that it was a sexual relationship because I didn't know. So I made it very clear to her I thought at the time. Sometimes you don't get out what you're thinking. I wanted to make it clear that I wasn't positive."
Lauri originally told Gretchen that she caught Vicki in bed with another man and another woman when they were on a business trip to New Orleans, and while she did say she wasn't sure they'd had sex, it was obviously insinuated.
As to why she felt the need to share this information with Gretchen, Lauri felt that it was her place to call out Vicki for being hypocritical, after Vicki accused Gretchen of cheating on her fiance.
"I had heard the rumors that there was a conflict between Gretchen and Vicki and that Vicki had called her out on infidelity," Lauri said on WWHL
. "I'm not criticizing Vicki for having indiscretions, but when I know what I know and she knows what she's done, how do you call someone else out on the same thing that you're doing? You don't."
It seems a little contradictory that on one hand Lauri is denying actually having seen any sexual indiscretion, but on the other hand she is using Vicki's scandalous behavior to call her out and back up Gretchen.
