The last few years have brought some serious ups and downs for frenemies Alexis Bellino and Tamra Barney of The Real Housewives of Orange County. But in last night's episode, Alexis and Tamra finally seemed to come to an understanding.

"My chin hit the floor hearing Tamra say that she saw a connection between her at a younger age and me in the back of the limo," Alexis wrote on her Bravo blog. "I think everyone can say they have been extremely sad at one point in their life, but for Tamra to admit that was completely unexpected."

Tamra and Alexis' relationship went from cordial to Alexis accusing Tamra of bullying her last season during the "phony intervention" staged in Costa Rica. Things reached a new low when Tamra physically threw Alexis out of her gym opening party earlier this season.

"Then, when I received the text from Tamra asking me to meet with her, I nearly dropped my phone! I instantly thought: heck no! Why would I meet with her again? Why will this time be different?" she wrote. "Once Tamra explained why she asked for this meeting, I crumbled. All the years of feeling such hatred from someone and to have that person actually apologize (in her own way), and look upset about it, my heart was relieved. Most likely we will never be BFFs, but I felt the dark hatred leaving and a fresh start beginning."

Of course, the meeting between the two adversaries would never have happened without newest cast member Lydia McLaughlin playing the part of the peacemaker.

"Lunch with Tamra and Alexis went really well," Lydia wrote on her Bravo blog. "Just like I knew it would! I wasn't setting Alexis up and I would never bring her into a firestorm especially after the whole experience at the CUT party."

"Alexis and I are polar opposites and we find it hard to find common ground. I know kicking her out of my party was not nice," Tamra wrote on her blog last month. She also said on Watch What Happens Live last month, "There's definitely some movement in our friendship. I have this tough exterior and there's a reason why I have it, but I also have a soft spot in my heart."
