Many were surprised and disappointed about Heather Dubrow's decision not to return to The Real Housewives of Orange County for season 12. However, it sounds like fans have not seen the last of the 48-year-old actress.
According to Radar Online
, Durbow is secretly working on her own spin-off.
"Heather is working on a solo project and it is most likely going to be with E! network, which, along with Bravo, is part of the NBCUniversal family," a source close to production told Radar.
"She is being super hush-hush about this and not even her close friends, or her former cast mates, know what it is," the insider revealed. "But it will most likely focus just on her and her family not the other RHOC girls."
Dubrow, who has been a cast member of the Bravo reality series since season seven, announced her departure in January on her podcast, Heather Dubrow's World, saying that the decision to leave the show was not easy.
"You know, it's hard to walk away from something, first of all, that's been successful for five years, and truly has given us so much. But I just feel like, right at this particular point in time, a couple of things [changed my mind]," Dubrow explained. "First of all, my kids. My oldest kids are now teenagers, and I just felt like they need to make their own decision about being on television and exposing their lives, and for me personally, I have some really cool, interesting opportunities that I want to explore. I don't know where they're going to go, but I want the opportunity to explore them."
