It's Labor Day weekend on The Real Housewives of New York City and what better way to celebrate the holiday than to throw not one but two dueling parties. The wounds are still fresh from LuAnn and Ramona's tiff in last week's premiere but these girls are about to cause a larger rift as they both throw parties at the same time which cause tension among the other housewives.

In the second episode of The Real Housewives of New York City's third season, Mario's "Countless" comment becomes the subject of controversy at a dinner between the Singers and the Van Kempens. It was already alarming to see Alex at Ramona's yacht party last week but it's even more disturbing to see these two couples get together. And just when you thought things couldn't be odder, Ramona invites the Van Kempens to her Labor Day luncheon.

The discussions about Mario's comments do not stop there, though. Ramona calls out Mario for the inappropriate remark, prompting her husband to leave LuAnn a voicemail and an invitation as a truce. However, LuAnn is unconvinced about Mario's sincerity so she asks for Jill on her take of the situation.

While Ramona gets ready for her Labor Day party, LuAnn gets ready for her bash which includes Jill, Bobby, and Kelly. At the party, Kelly tells LuAnn that she'll be gracing the cover of Playboy only to find out that LuAnn has done some modeling of her own in the past.

Meanwhile, Alex and Simon head to Ramona's party where they eventually try to sneak out. Ramona catches on, though, so Alex and Simon decided to call Jill and LuAnn to apologize for not showing up. Jill, on the other hand, asks Alex to dish out dirt on Ramona's party.

Elsewhere, Jason and Bethenny go out to dinner where they talk about the direction of their relationship and ultimately decide to move in together.
