Bravo has picked up a third season of The Real Housewives of New York City but hasn't officially announced who among the ladies would be returning for the new season. As reported previously, the network is looking for new Manhattan ladies to join the show. It has also been reported that some cast members are holding out for more lucrative contracts. However, Kelly Bensimon, arguably the most hated housewife of the series, has confirmed that she's in for the new season.

Bensimon, who was actually the first to sign for season 3, has been rumored to leave the show since she didn't exactly earn the best reputation among the girls of The Real Housewives of New York City. On the other hand, Bensimon has successfully attracted huge ratings as the resident newbie troublemaker of the show.

"I am coming back," Bensimon told People at Three-O Vodka's recent launch party. "But I actually don't know who else is coming back. They don't really tell me."

"We start shooting in two weeks," she added. "And it's going to be interesting now because the bar is so high. When Gretchen [Rossi from The Real Housewives of Orange County] is getting a motorcycle at a party and Teresa [Giudice from The Real Housewives of New Jersey] is throwing over the table, what's going to happen?"

In spite of all the drama she endured the first season, Bensimon looks forward to even more drama as she returns as a veteran.

"Because I know these women now, I'll be able to do things with them," she said. "[Last season], it was hard. It was like the first day of school. Now I know everybody, so we're going to have a little fun."

The Real Housewives of New York City is slated to return for season 3 in 2010.
