Fans would be happy to know that
The Real Housewives of New York will be returning with a second season later this year. In fact, resident New York housewife
Jill Zarin revealed in her blog that they are indeed coming back, despite the fact that nothing has been put into paper as of the moment.
“We have not signed on yet but the RHNYC is definitely coming back,” Jill Zarin, who recently attended the NBC Upfronts event, wrote on her official website. “It is too soon to set your TIVO as filming won't start until this summer.”
Moreover, Jill seemed to be overwhelmed by the viewers’ reception of the show. She wrote on her blog, “I met so many 'stars' [at the NBC Upfronts] but the real stars to me were the fans of the show. So many people came over to me and tell me how much they enjoyed the first season and were we coming back.”
As this may seem as good news to fans, they will be in for a treat later at 1pm, because a new episode of
The Real Housewives of New York will air on Bravo. In fact, the hour-long episode will follow
Ramona Singer as she heads to the Hamptons with her daughter, Avery. Meanwhile, Jill’s daughter, Allyson will express her desire for a trip to Martha’s Vineyard and
LuAnn de Lesseps keeps herself busy as she moves her family into their summer home. While
Bethenny Frankel focuses on her career,
Alex McCord and Simon van Kempen head to St. Barts.
As for the new episode, Jill Zarin herself is also excited to see it. She says, “I can't wait to see it. We don't get to see the show ahead of you!”
Meanwhile, Jill has also been keeping herself busy raising awareness for special causes that mean a lot to her. More recently, she posted a list of websites in her blog which cater to delivering information about arthritis. The reason behind this is her own daughter, who was diagnosed to have the said illness as well.
“My daughter Ally was diagnosed at age 13 with a form of arthritis called Spondyloarthropathy. It has changed the way she - and I - go about living life,” she wrote. “She is my inspiration and has dealt with this condition by being positive and outspoken. And I have, in turn, taken every opportunity to raise awareness about arthritis affecting people of all ages, races and walks of life.”
Jill cautioned her readers to check their sources twice, and that the best one to consult is still one’s doctor. However, she did post some links to various organizations such as Arthritis Organization (
Arthritis.org), Creaky Joints (
CreakyJoints.org),
National Institute of Health and
Arthritis Research Center, in the hopes of raising awareness amongst fans and viewers alike.
Catch Jill Zarin and the rest of
The Real Housewives of New York on Bravo at 1pm today.
