Fans will be glad to know that The Real Housewives of New York City
has recently been renewed for a second season, as BravoTV announced on Tuesday. Now that the first season is over, fans are served with some controversy to stir up more talk about the glamorous lives of the Real Housewives of New York City.
Recently, another naked picture controversy hit the entertainment industry, and this time, it concerns one of our lovely housewives. People
recently talked to Alex McCord
regarding her naked pictures, which found its way to various internet sites.
"I did the photos after the birth of our second son," Alex explained to People. "I was shocked at how quickly my body came back. I just sort of thought, ‘Wow!’"
Apparently, Alex was very proud of her pictures. In fact, she says that it was a gesture of celebrating a good thing.
"It was a celebration that a mom can be in great shape," she said to In Touch. "I'm very proud of them--they're beautiful."
Since Alex is proud of her nude pictures, she doesn't mind that it's all over the internet for the whole world to see.
"I'd happily show them to my mother or anyone else!" she says, but that isn't much of an issue now that everyone else has indeed seen them already.
"At that time I had the opportunity to meet a lot of photographers," she explained further to People. "And there were a couple of people who asked me to work on…projects."
While some may be doubtful about these "projects," others have been quick to label it as a gig for a men's magazine. A gossip site even reported that it may have been audition photos for Playboy. Nonetheless, the cat is now out of the bag as the pictures are already in circulation in the internet.
"I’m not sure exactly how that happened," Alex admits. However, she continues to say that she is not affected by these so-called controversies.
"It’s a non-issue," she says. "I’m one of a billion people out there who has nude photos of themselves. So what."
While most may pass it off as eccentricity, others have had it with her non-apologetic attitude, which is very evident in The Real Housewives of New York.
However, Alex's boyfriend does have a point when he expresses his opinion on the matter.
"There is no point running and hiding," Simon ven Kempen said to People. "In the day of the Internet, if it’s on one web site, it’s on 100, so own it. Embrace it."
Catch more of Alex McCord as she returns with the rest of the N.Y. crew on The Real Housewives of New York
's second season coming soon.
