The Real Housewives of New York City
Bravo is heading to the Big Apple for the spin-off series of the hit reality show The Real Housewives of Orange County.  Dubbed The Real Housewives of New York City, the spin-off will follow an elite and powerful group of New York socialites as they attempt to balance their careers and home lives with tight schedules full of charity fund-raising galas, social calls at the Hamptons and interviews for prime private schools.

"This series will explore the personal and professional lives of five ambitious women who in the upper crust of New York," Frances Berwick, Bravo's EVP of programming and production, said.  "The Real Housewives of Orange County continues to thrive and this series will explore many of the same relatable issues relationships, children, and work-life balance while giving a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to make it in the privileged world of Manhattan society."

The cast of The Real Housewives of New York City include:

Alex McCord, a devoted wife and mother of two children who tries her best to juggle a successful career with fulfilling her social obligations. Her kids are busy learning music, art, swimming and French, while their live-in Au Pair only speaks French in the hopes the children will soon be bi-lingual. A former actress and model, Alex is currently working as a graphic designer in the visual merchandising industry.

30-something Bethenny Frankel is a single socialite working as a natural foods chef and the proud owner of the company Bethenny Bakes.  She is also a health columnist for Hamptons magazine, a television spokesperson for Health magazine and Pepperidge Farm's new line of healthy foods, and was a finalist on The Apprentice: Martha Stewart. With a rich boyfriend who has three kids, Bethenny's main focus now is to settle down and start a family.

A talented photographer and accomplished businesswoman, Jill Zarin is the epitome of the New York woman.  She has an active social life but devotes her time to husband Bobby Zarin, with whom she operates Zarin Fabrics and Home Furnishings.  She also supports numerous charities, and has a number of celebrity friends.  Additionally, she takes care of three children – daughter Allyson and stepchildren Jennifer and Jonathan.

LuAnn de Lesseps is married to Alexandre Count de Lesseps, a French aristocrat, and uses her “Countess” title to help various charities.  Taking care of her two children also consumes much of her time, as well as traveling to exotic destinations like Italy, Switzerland, France and Africa.  She teaches etiquette on morning television shows and hosts a local cable series in the Hamptons called The Countess Report.

Entrepreneur Ramona Singer is kept busy by her numerous business ventures, among which are RMS Fashions, a jewelry line called True Faith Jewelry and a clothing line called True Faith.  She is also in the midst of developing a skin care line.  She, her husband Mario and their teenage daughter Avery live in a luxurious four-bedroom condo in the Upper East Side, but also have a home in Soutthampton.  Ramona loves to play tennis and often organizes parties and social gatherings.

The Real Housewives of New York City is produced by Ricochet Television Inc.  Serving as executive producers are Jennifer O'Connell and Nick Emmerson, with Lenid Rolov and Kirsty Robson as co-executive producers.
