With the conclusions of The Real Housewives of New Jersey and The Real Housewives of New York City happening simultaneously, there have been plenty of rumors circulating on which cast members would stay and which would leave for next season. Now come the tales of an ex-housewife from each of those shows making a return after being fired.

Real Housewives of NYC

After Jill Zarin appeared on Watch What Happens Live earlier this week, she got plenty of much-sought-after attention. Now it seems inevitable that people are talking about her being recast.

"Jill's appearance solidified the likelihood that she will be featured on a sixth season," an insider told Radar Online. "Jill and Andy were even trending for a long time Monday night on Twitter. That is the kind of buzz that the network wants for the next season. Jill is a polarizing figure and she has a very, very strong personality."

Although Jill has said in the past that she is "over it," the insider indicated that she would definitely be open to returning, maybe even in a smaller role at this point.

"Jill is open to the idea of coming back to the show and would be willing to appear as a guest star. Viewers love to watch Jill tussle with Ramona Singer and LuAnn de Lesseps. There was nowhere near as much drama on the show this year, even with the additions of three new cast members."

If Jill were to be put back on the show as a full time housewife, that means that it would be pretty likely that one of the current cast members would get the axe. Will it be one of the royals, maybe either Princess Carole Radziwill or the Countess? Maybe Heather Thomson would be fired because she was, you know, the "new Jill."

Real Housewives of New Jersey

A little farther south down at the Jersey Shore, another estranged housewife may be making a comeback. According to TMZ, former RHONJ star Danielle Staub met with Andy Cohen to discuss a possible return.

"It was a general meeting," Danielle said. "There was a lot of talk about everything -- including Housewives."

But maybe they were just arranging another WWHL special like they did with Jill? Danielle also told TMZ that she had "absolutely no interest in speaking to any" of her former co-stars, which leads us to believe she wouldn't be put in a position back on the show where she had no one to film with, which is what happened in season 2 and was the cause of her firing. That and the fact that she's a little crazy.

But there have been rumors that both Caroline Manzo and Jacqueline Laurita may be leaving the show -- in which case, if everything were recast, Danielle may have a better chance of getting back on.
