Last night was part two of The Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice and her husband Joe Giudice’s interview with Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live. The two talked more about their impending jail sentences and Teresa revealed that she’s not angry at her husband for getting her involved.

“I don’t think he meant to hurt me in any way. I think it’s a learning lesson for both of us,” Teresa said when Andy asked if she resented her husband. “Since yesterday, he’s been feeling bad, he keeps coming up to me and hugging me. All I keep saying is I want him to take care of my girls.”

Although Teresa may not be angry, Joe admitted to felling a certain amount of responsibility.

“I do feel guilty, but I did everything I could do to get her out of it,” Joe said. He then turned to address his wife, saying, “I want to apologize that I got you into this mess. I don’t even know what else to say. If I could take it all back, I would.”

This isn’t the only front the couple is united on. Teresa made it clear that her brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Melissa Gorga, would have little to do with helping their family while Teresa is behind bars.

“I want my husband to be there for my daughters; he has a lot of family, his mother his sister,” Teresa said when Andy asked if Joe and Melissa would help with the kids. “What breaks my heart is that I don’t want to be away from my dad. He’s in and out of the hospital. That’s all I want is for my brother to be there for my parents. And I want Joe to be Mr. Mom.”

Teresa said that Joe did reach out to her before her sentencing and wanted to be with her at court that day. She said she did appreciate him offering to go, but she told him that she didn’t want any of her family to be there. Dina Manzo, Amber Marchese and Jacqueline Laurita were the only other cast members who reached out to Teresa.

Of course, Andy had to ask about Teresa’s statements to the court that claimed the show was mostly fiction. He reminded her that no one made her flip a table in that infamous first season.

“Meaning there [are] editors on the show and there are producers,” Teresa said.

She also talked about how she didn’t like the direction the show took after her brother and sister-in-law and cousin Kathy Wakile were cast. “This is my family and I don’t like the way I was portrayed. I was a villain. People came up to me and said, ‘You’re so nice, on the show you seem so mean.’ But I have grown since season 1. I’m not going to let people provoke me and lose my temper. I try to be a better person and I learn from my mistakes.”

When asked about his lawyer’s suggestion that the judge send him to a rehabilitation facility, Joe admitted to having a drinking problem. He said he drinks multiple bottles of wine a night to help him sleep. He then went on to defend and say that he does not, in fact, have a problem.

“Before [Teresa] started the Real Housewives, I only drank on weekends; now I drink every day. I might have a problem,” Joe said. “Two or three bottles a night, I need it to sleep, I don’t wanna take a pill. “

Teresa went on to defend him, saying that she doesn’t worry about his ability to take care of the kids because he never drinks and drives.

Andy also asked if Joe was nervous about receiving more jail time for illegally obtaining a driver’s license (the sentencing is October 15) or deportation since he’s not an American citizen.

“I’m going to worry about that when the time comes,” he said. “You gotta think about it moment from moment and day by day.”
