The former star of season 1 of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, Dina Manzo, may be planning a return to the show for season 6, says In Touch.

"The timing is perfect, Caroline won't be returning next season, " an insider said. "She has her spin-off and that's what she's moving on to. She might appear in a couple of episodes here and there."

Caroline Manzo's spin-off will focus on her husband and kids and sister Frannie, but won't be about the negative drama that usually follows The Real Housewives. Her exit would make things less awkward for Dina, who's estranged from Caroline. However, her sister-in-law, Jacqueline Laurita, is still a part of the show, which seems to be a problem for Dina.

"Dina wants to come back but she wants Jacqueline fired first, because she is afraid of fighting with her," a close source told the Huffington Post.

Another reason Dina may want to return she's going through a separation and she's found herself in a situation where she needs to make money.

"If Dina makes enough money on her own she can leave her husband, if not she's going back to him," the source said. "She's already attempted a few shows to further herself but they fell apart. RHONJ was her only option to stay in the limelight for now."

Dina even tweeted during this week's finale: "Hearing I'm mentioned again on Housewives? Hmmm maybe I'll just go back and at least get paid for it."

Jacqueline Laurita has heard the rumors and also responded. "I don't think Dina is trying to get me fired but I know she doesn't want to come on the show with me on it. Probably to avoid any conflict," she tweeted

Dina also offered another tweet in self-defense. She said, "I have not made any decisions on my next career move yet, I haven't gotten anyone fired nor do I have the power to do that. Don't be silly."

This all may be a moot point since Bravo has yet to officially renew RHONJ, and with Teresa Giudice's legal battles and the lowest ratings yet for the finale, another season isn't exactly a sure thing.
