Even though it seemed like it was back to the same ol' song and dance for Teresa Giudice after
Sunday's premiere of Real Housewives of New Jersey, the
Celebrity Apprentice star is now singing a different tune. Teresa now says that she's sorry for the way things have turned out with her family and friends.
"Things have gotten out of hand," she said in an interview with
In Touch Weekly. "I want to accept responsibility for the things I did wrong. I'm truly sorry."
Teresa has been in a feud with her brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Melissa Gorga, which even led to violence at the
Gorgas' son's Christening in the beginning of season three.
"It was rough, and looking back, there are definitely situations I would have handled differently," Teresa wrote in this week's
Bravo blog. "All I can do is apologize, learn from them, and move on. I have personally and sincerely apologized to everyone on the show more times than I can count. I would love to resolve any of the outstanding issues from last year with my family and friends because I do love them all, but it just takes time. I do and have always wished them the best."
Teresa also talked about how playing for charity on
Celebrity Apprentice has done a lot to help her put things in perspective.
"All of the drama seemed so insignificant after I was exposed to people with real problems," she said in the
In Touch interview. "I wish I could take it all back and start over."
Teresa even wrote an open letter to friend and castmate Jacqueline Laurita, which will appear alongside apologies to Melissa, her cousin Kathy Wakile, and Caroline Manzo in this week's issue of
In Touch.
"Dear Jacqueline," Teresa wrote. "I wish we could have resolved things sooner because I'm sincerely sorry for upsetting you. I feel like things have gotten out of hand, which is sad. I miss our friendship. I miss being like Lucy and Ethel with you. And so I hope we can work through these problems one day, when you are ready. Teresa xoxo."
It seemed like Jacqueline wanted to accept Teresa's olive branch, but she soon became skeptical of the sincerity of Teresa's words.
"Forgive me for being upset, I wanted to believe the apology was sincere. When I called her, it got intense with rehashing the past. Thought she wanted to move forward," Jacqueline
tweeted yesterday, after the article hit the Internet. "My heart tells me that she's not sincerely ready to move forward. I'm beginning to believe it was a PR clean-up attempt. Sad."
Judging by their lack of reconciliation, Teresa must have done something pretty bad to make Jacqueline so unreachable. And thank the reality TV gods, it's all about to be televised!
