On last night's episode of The Real Housewives of Miami, Lisa Hochstein had a conversation with her husband Lenny about the troubles they were having starting a family. Now she's opening up more about her attempts at conceiving as well as her misfortunes of miscarriages.

Not all titles featured on BuddyTV are available through Amazon Prime.

"Watching this episode and discussing it with my husband was especially hard for me and at times painful to watch," Lisa wrote on her Bravo blog. "The fertility issues that we have had to deal with over the last several years have been trying and reminders, like this episode, are tough."

Although Lisa admits that what she and her husband are dealing with is rough, she knows that there are other families struggling with the same thing and she can look to the other women in her community for support.

"We never thought that starting a family would be so difficult, and we were really unprepared for this journey. We never thought that we would need to seek the help of a fertility expert of some of the other treatments that we have done in the hopes of making our dream of a family a reality."

Lisa isn't the first lady from the Real Housewives franchise who has admitted to having fertility issues. Jacqueline Laurita from The Real Housewives of New Jersey admitted to suffering several miscarriages and saw a specialist during the show before having her son Nicholas. The Real Housewives of New York City star Bethenny Frankel also said she miscarried after giving birth to her first daughter, Bryn. LuAnn de Lesseps of RHONYC underwent acupuncture fertility treatments as recently as this season.

"During our ordeal, many of our friends have casually asked us innocently enough, 'So when are you going to start a family?' They were just being nice, but every time I heard it, I cringed, because I just did not want to be reminded," Lisa said on her blog. "Many had theories, like I was too small or too thin, and although I know it was not said maliciously, it made me feel self-conscious nonetheless."

Lisa also confesses that even though she accused her Lenny of being insensitive on last night's episode, she knows that her husband is always there for her.

"I had called my husband insensitive, because sometimes I feel hurt when I see him so upset that he has not fulfilled his desire to have a child. I know he supports me and everything I am going through."
