Kenya Moore and NeNe Leakes hit it off after meeting last season on The Real Housewives of Atlanta. But things in their relationship have changed this season, and Kenya has a theory as to why.

When a viewer called in to Watch What Happens Live Sunday night to ask Kenya if she thinks that NeNe turned on her because she is jealous of her, Kenya’s answer was “Absolutely.”

Kenya went on to explain that she thinks NeNe feels threatened by the success Kenya has had on the show.

“Knowing what I know and knowing what I’ve experienced and what you will see throughout the season, yes,” Kenya said. “I think she’s threatened by my position on the show. I think that’s the better wording. I don’t back down on her.”

Kenya also thinks that the show is back to being a priority for NeNe, after her NBC sitcom, The New Normal, was cancelled, and Glee, which NeNe often guest stars on, is coming to an end soon.

“I came in last season, when I feel like she had moved on from the show. She had all these other jobs, and now that she doesn’t, I think she kind of views me as her replacement. I think that’s what’s causing her to flip on me, because she doesn’t have the Hollywood jobs anymore.”

NeNe started off the season being rude to Kenya after the latter was unable to make it to her wedding. Most recently, she tried to blame Kenya for the brawl that ensued at her Pillow Talk party. But Kenya says she’ll be saving some of NeNe’s more egregious acts to air at the reunion.

“It’s unfortunate, because I think there’s enough room for everyone,” Kenya told Andy Cohen. “I think we all have blessings coming our way, and what’s meant for you is meant for you. You can’t go out of your way to try to sabotage people and do the things that she’s tried to do to me while on the show that I will save for the reunion, because it’s a lot of tea.”

Despite everything that’s happened, Kenya still admits to missing NeNe’s friendship.

“I was a NeNe fan,” she said. “We were very friendly. I was happy with the way our friendship was developing. And then all of a sudden, out of nowhere, she just attacks me. I’ve never seen anything like it.”
