It doesn't matter if a
Real Housewives show is in the middle of the season or if it's on hiatus, who is going and who is staying for the next season always seem to be a hot topic. Here's some of the latest on the casting for the future of
Real Housewives.
The Real Housewives of Orange CountyAlexis Bellino has been
promising threatening to leave the show ever since her fellow cast mates staged a "phony intervention" against her on a season 7 trip to Costa Rica. Now an insider is telling
US Weekly that she is definitely planning on making an exit.
"Alexis was really tired of being bullied and chose home and family life over celebrity," the insider said about her decision to stop filming. "She wanted to go back to her simple life in Orange County."
Alexis and her husband Jim have made it clear to Bravo that either co-star Tamra Barney gets the boot, or she's done.
"
RHOC is a reality show that is meant to entertain and engage audiences with the lives of its cast members," the couple said to
US Weekly in a statement in July, referring to Tamra's infamous "Jesus Jugs" insult aired at the reunion. "This vicious and malicious attack on our family will no longer be tolerated. We have continually tried to take the high road, however, if necessary, we are prepared to defend ourselves against these unfounded, slanderous and defamatory remarks to the fullest extent of the law."
There has been no official word from Alexis yet, but we'll be anxiously holding our breath until she makes her final decision.
The Real Housewives of New JerseyEvery fan of
RHONJ knows that there has been utter turmoil between all of the
cast members and Teresa Giudice. And now that the season 4 reunion is in the can, it seems that Bravo is looking to change things up on the casting front.
"They are looking all the time for new cast members for all the franchises," an insider told the
Huffington Post. "But, nothing gets serious until after the reunion show has been taped and the season comes to an end. Now they are deciding what to do with next season, with the biggest problem being Teresa Giudice."
Several of the cast, which includes two of Teresa's family members, have said that they haven't been in contact with her since they wrapped filming, and the reunion was the first time they were all together in over a year. But since Teresa is one of the franchise's biggest stars, it is unlikely that Bravo would merely show her the door, like they did with Danielle Staub after the cast members isolated her.
"No one wants to tape with Teresa anymore," an unnamed cast member told the Huff Post. "She has done so many things to each member of the cast that at this point it is everyone versus Teresa. I know they are looking at several friends of hers to join the show so she has someone to film with. At the moment, no one has been invited back, but we are all pretty sure Teresa will have two new friends."
So does that mean Kathy Wakile and Melissa Gorga will be fired? Or maybe Caroline Manzo and Jacqueline Laurita will step away?
The Real Housewives of AtlantaThe
RHOA have already gotten a little bit of a casting over-haul with the
exit of Sheree Whitfield and the possible additions (not yet officially confirmed by Bravo) of former beauty queen
Kenya Moore and Porsha Williams Stewart. Now it seems another "housewife" won't be appearing on season 5.
According to
WetPaint.com, Marlo Hampton won't be showing that mug of hers on the show next season. It seems that Bravo was not happy with her gay slurs last season and the fact that she was constantly irritating the other stars on the show and creating a divide among the cast.
Well, we can't say that we'll miss Miss Marlo!
