Linnethia "NeNe" Leakes, Sheree Whitfield, Lisa Wu-Hartwell, and Kimberleigh "Kim" Zolciak will once again invade our TV screens as Bravo brings back The Real Housewives of Atlanta for its second season. According to The Futon Critic, the network has finally set July 30 as the premiere date, though there has been no official word from  Bravo.  The Real Housewives of Atlanta follows five glamorous southern belles as they balance motherhood, demanding careers and a fast-paced social calendar.

If you noticed, I only mentioned four names from the original season 1 cast. Original cast member Deshawn Snow, who has three children and is the wife of former Cleveland Cavaliers professional NBA basketball player and NBA TV announcer Eric Snow, was not invited back for the sophomore season since producers felt that she was "too human for a circus show" and did not create enough drama.

Instead, the new season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta will feature Kandi Burruss, Grammy Award-winning R&B singer-writer who has written for artists including Mariah Carey and a former Xscape member. According to the press release, she lives with her fiancé and six-year-old daughter.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta is the first docu-drama ever to hit the two million viewer mark among adults 18-49 on Bravo so it didn't really come as a surprise when the network renewed the series. Aside from The Real Housewives of Atlanta, the network has also announced the returning date for Flipping Out, which will kick off its third season on Monday, August 17 at 10pm. Both shows, which aired on Tuesday nights last year, will take over slots occupied by The Fashion Show and Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List, which are set to wrap up on July 23 and August 10, respectively.

Moreover, Bravo has also set the date for NYC Prep, premiering June 23, and Miami Social, premiering July 14.
