The enormous Real Housewives franchise is about to get a little bigger. Bravo has announced its adding two more shows with The Real Housewives brand. They are the very much expected The Real Housewives of Dallas and the much more surprising The Real Housewives of Potomac.

If you haven’t heard of Potomac before, it probably means you don’t live there. It is in fact a little bit north of Washington D.C. The Bravo press release announcing the new series, promises that Potomac is a land of rolling hills, exclusive country clubs and very rich people. It also has a history of wealthy, old African-American families who have “historically broken racial barriers”. Reflecting that history, The Real Housewives of Potomac has one of the more ethnically diverse casts in The Real Housewives line. The Real Housewives of Potomac will premiere Sunday, January 17 on Bravo at 9pm.

The Real Housewives of Dallas sounds a lot like all the other Real Housewife shows but in a new location. It will follow a group of Southern socialites in the Texas social scene. They also determined to make sure that everyone knows in Texas, everything bigger really is better. The Real Housewives of Dallas will premiere later next year.

If you’re wondering what executive producer Andy Cohen has to say about all of this, don’t worry we’ve got you covered. “The Real Housewives of Potomac is the show you never saw coming, and it’s going to take everyone by surprise!” said Cohen, “As for The Real Housewives of Dallas, it’s a natural extension of the franchise with a Southern twist that ‘ya’ll’ will enjoy.”

But do you think? Does The Real Housewives of Potomac or The Real Housewives of Dallas sound interesting? Will you watch one or both of them? Do you think it’s smart to revisit the area near the capital after the ratings failure of The Real Housewives of D.C.?
