. Initially, she worked as the firm’s receptionist and occasional paralegal. But unknown to anyone at the firm, she attended law school at night for a several years and even passed the bar exam. Subsequently, she worked for Bobby Donnell when he opened his first practice as a solo practitioner. In the long run, producers had to let go of her character due to plot changes and budget cuts.

, Lisa Gay Hamilton appeared on various television series as a minor character and as a guest star. She graced shows like The L Word, ER, Without a Trace
. She also landed a recurring role as Teresa Randall on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.
Furthermore, she became part of the movie Nine Lives
as the character Holly. Written and directed by Rodrigo García, the dramatic plot explored the relationships of nine women as they faced life’s disappointments. The said film garnered several wins and nominations from various award-giving bodies.
At present, the former Practice
actress is preoccupied in making movies. In the musical-drama film Honeydripper, she stars as Delilah, joining lead star Danny Glover as Tyrone Purvis. Set in Alabama, the story revolves around a struggling owner of a blues club that finds salvation as he hires a young guitarist.
Last but not the least, she stars in director Marcel Langenegger’s action-thriller film, The Tourist
. Slated for release this year, the movie follows an accountant as he is introduced to a mysterious sex club. However, he soon becomes the primary suspect in a woman’s disappearance and a multi-million dollar crime.
