Camryn Manheim became a household name when she was cast on ABC's
The Practice. Best known for her award-winning role as Ellenor Frutt, she portrayed another partner at the firm and a single mother who often struggled with issues related to her weight and appearance. She provided comic relief on the legal drama with the fact that nearly all her friends were murderers, and lingered on the show until the end of its run in 2004. At present, the 46-year-old actress continues to be seen onscreen with her guest roles, regular television gig, as well as her upcoming TV-movie project.
In 2008, the former
Practice actress will join Tom Selleck in CBS' tele-pic
Jesse Stone: Thin Ice, which is the fifth installment of the
Jesse Stone franchise from Sony Pictures Television. Based on the best-selling series of books by Robert B. Parker, the story centers on a small-town police who almost loses his job after the attempted murder of his close colleague.
Meanwhile, fans can catch Manheim as Delia Banks on
Ghost Whisperer, a drama-fantasy thriller starring
Jennifer Love Hewitt, with its third season premiere on Friday, September 28.
When
The Practice concluded, Camryn Manheim never left the spotlight as she landed a number of guest roles on shows like
Strong Medicine, Two and a Half Men, How I Met Your Mother and a recurring role on
The L Word as Veronica Bloom.
Most recently, she did some voiceover work in the animated movie
The Land Before Time XII: The Great Day of the Flyers, was cast in the comedy drama
Slipstream and portrayed the manager of Mikayla (Selena Gomez), the rival pop star of Miley Stewart on
Hannah Montana.
