Joe is featured as one of the members of the cast in the VH1 reality television series The Pickup Artist. He is 25 years old and works as a medical web developer. He has been described as being an entertaining and loveable goofball, yet he is completely fed up with being seen and treated by women as a brotherly figure instead of a lover. His goal is to show and prove himself as a romantic and intriguingly suave character, while still being able to show caring concern and nurturing for his lady. As someone who still lives in the basement of his parents’ house next to the washer and drier, however, he’s apparently got a very long road ahead of himself.

He’s well-aware that his abode is one of the worst possible places you could bring a woman to. But on the bright side, he also has a musically creative streak, as he pens and creates songs for women that he would like to get to know better, beyond just the basic stages of friendship. He simply needs to muster more courage in order to actually play those songs for the ladies. He’s also a devotee of Star Wars, dressing up as a Jedi on occasion and wielding his own lightsaber.
