It should come as no surprise that Forbes magazine named
Oprah Winfrey its most powerful celebrity. After all, last year, she banked an unbelievable $275 million. Though ratings for her talk show have slowly declined, Oprah is smart enough to pursue other business ventures to ensure her success. Next year, she'll unveil The Oprah Winfrey Network, which is partnered with Discovery Communications. She has a 3 year, $55 million deal with XM Radio and her Harpo production company is responsible for the success of The Dr. Phil Show and The Rachael Ray Show. Tiger Woods, Angelina Jolie, Beyonce Knowles, and David Beckham rounded out the top 5. This year, tweens made a strong showing on the list, especially those that hail from The Disney Channel.

Miley Cyrus ranked the highest among her peers, coming in at #35. She has a hit tv show, a movie on the way, a sold out tour, an album that sold millions of copies, and a book deal. Next to hit the list is Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe. He recently signed a $50 million dollar contract to finish out the Harry Potter movies as the main character.
Miley Cyrus's good friends,
The Jonas Brothers, came in at #89 on the list, ranking above any
High School Musical star. The brothers, who already have a reality series, also have a movie and television show in the works.
Zac Efron just gets in there with
Ashley Tisdale. The two are ranked #92 and #94, respectively. Efron has 3 movies that will come out in the next year. Tisdale not only has High School Musical and Phineas and Ferb to pay the bills, but she recently became the new spokesperson for Red by Mark Ecko.
Other notable television actors and actresses to make this year's list include: Simon Cowell (#21), Ryan Seacrest (#62), Tyra Banks (#68), Eva Longoria Parker (#70), Katherine Heigl (#73), Patrick Dempsey (#84), Steve Carrell (#87), and Jennifer Love Hewitt (#96).
