The Office showrunner had spoken, and yes, there will be a Dunder Mifflin baby on season 6, but don't count on The Office to turn into a family sitcom any time soon. In fact, don't expect the baby to "dominate" the show when we finally get to see the first addition to the Halpert family early next year. After all, no babies allowed on the office.

Executive producer and writer (and weary HR person Toby) Paul Lieberstein reveals that the new season of the NBC comedy, which kicks off September 17, will pick up a few months after last season's finale, where Pam (Jenna Fischer) and Jim (John Krasinski) inadvertently found out that Pam was pregnant. In fact, "three weeks before the wedding."

Lieberstein adds that "She's not showing yet. She's hoping to get through the wedding without showing." The much-anticipated wedding, meanwhile, will take place on the fourth episode, while Pam will give birth in February.

If we can recall, the couple decided to get hitched on the Café Disco episode of The Office and was very close to eloping to Ohio, but ditched the idea when Pam realized she wanted a "real wedding"

"I thought it was fun to do something out of order with them,"  says Lieberstein of the couple of the season. "They're obviously a good couple, but just to throw a little real, but very simple obstacles, in front of them. They're the kind of people who deal with small things in an amusing way. Jim has a good sense of humor and Pam can get worked up by certain things. So we thought it was an interesting way to go."

The other Office details previously released include everyone in the office thinking that an Italian mafia is extorting money from Michael (Steve Carell). Surely, suspicion of extortion by the mafia isn't something you'd readily expect from a family sitcom. So Lieberstein is probably telling the truth.
