It's the Christmas episode tonight on The Office, and here's hoping that the not-so-favorable economic climate won't dampen people's holiday spirits. Not Phyllis (Phyllis Smith), because thanks to Jim (John Krasinski) and a note she sent some 11 weeks ago, she's able to snag the role of Santa! According to her, she wanted to be Santa for years, especially since she had the right "temperament" and "figure" for the job.
Can't say we disagree.
Obviously, this doesn't sink well with Michael (Steve Carell), who comes to the office also in santa costume only to find out that Phyllis is Santa this year. He blames Jim, and not even Pam's now obvious baby bump is going to distract him from this.
Elsewhere on
The Office, the Erin-Andy storyline will also continue, but maybe in a not so nice direction. Turns out, Andy's been sending gifts to Erin, who don't exactly appreciate them. Also, Jim and Dwight (Rainn Wilson) try to get everyone into the holiday mood, despite the bankruptcy fears. Oscar, finally, is revealed to have a secret crush.
The Office usually delivers when it comes to Christmas episodes, so let's hope this one doesn't tank like the few ones before it. Catch "Secret Santa" tonight on NBC.
