For the last two and a half years, actor Rainn Wilson has distinctly established himself as the Assistant Regional Manager Dwight K. Schrute on NBC’s The Office. But in his upcoming movie entitled Girlfriend Experience, Wilson will depict a role quite different from his infamous neurotic character.

In Girlfriend Experience, the 41-year old actor will be playing a lonely geek who hires a prostitute to pretend to be his girlfriend to make him seem more desirable to other women who don't charge money for sex. Joining Wilson in his own generated concept are writers Mark and Brian Gunn. Although he has worked in many movies, this will be Wilson’s first starring role. The upcoming movie, which is distributed by DreamWorks, will be produced by Ivan Reitman and Tom Pollock's Montecito.
Not all titles featured on BuddyTV are available through Amazon Prime.

Wilson, a native of Seattle, Washington, attended Tuft University and the University of Washington. He also holds a Master of Fine Arts from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. Prior to his inclusion on The Office, he appeared on television shows like NUMB3RS, Monk, Six Feet Under and movies like My Super Ex-Girlfriend, Galaxy Quest, House of 1000 Corpses, Almost Famous, and America's Sweethearts.

Apart from the Girlfriend Experience, Wilson will also be featured in the comedy-drama movie entitled Juno, which is currently on production. The said movie is about a young woman who is faced with an unplanned pregnancy who eventually makes a bizarre decision regarding her unborn child. Directed by Jason Reitman and written by Diablo Cody, the movie will be released in 2007.

As of the moment, there is no word yet on the director, other cast members or other details of the film Girlfriend Experience. Meanwhile, fans can catch Wilson on his regular gig on The Office every Thursday at 8:30/7:30C on NBC.
