Stanley Hudson of NBC's The Office is played by Leslie David Baker. Stanley is a serious and hardworking sales representative in the paper products distributor, Dunder-Mifflin. Oftentimes grumpy and disgruntled, he believes he is underpaid and is lousy at hiding his disgust and disrespect for his boss, Michael Scott. As an African American, he is also usually the target of Michael's offensive remarks on racial stereotypes. Stanley may be a laid back person, but can be frightening once he is angry.

Instead of listening to Michael's drone during company meetings, he entertains himself by working on crossword puzzles, and thus was nicknamed "The Crossword Puzzle Guy." Stanley is also married to a white American, and has two children, one from a previous marriage. He developed a liking for Pam, and admitted that she is one of the four things he loves in the world.

Stanley had once been seen attempting to impress Michael by offering advice on how to deal with Jan, the woman whom his boss was attracted to. He said that he learned about women while in the ghetto, hoping to please Michael and possible receive a bonus.

In the 7th Annual Dundie Awards, Stanley won the Great Work Award, and won the Fine Work Award the following year. He also enjoys the yearly pretzel day, which he looks forward to all year round.

During Take Your Daughter to Work Day, he invited his daughter, Melissa along at the office. Melissa developed a crush on Ryan, and caused his girlfriend Kelly to become jealous. Kelly went to Stanley and told him about the situation, and he to charge, yelling at Ryan, who was terribly frightened of him.

Stanley was supposed to give a toaster to Pam and Roy as their wedding gift. However, the wedding was called off, thus Stanley had two toasters at home. He complained that he couldn't return the toaster to the store because they no longer sold it.
