Kate Flannery as Meredith Palmer

Meredith Palmer of NBC's The Office is played by Kate Flannery. An accountant turned supplier relations representative at paper distributor Dunder-Mifflin, Meredith has been divorced twice, and has a drinking problem and a sex addiction. A quiet woman, she is often not at her desk, as she works in the annex.

Aside from being an alcoholic, Meredith developed a dislike for the office lights, which she thought was too bright in the morning. She is allergic to dairy products and had undergone hysterectomy in the past, a fact that Dwight Schrute was quite confused about, thinking that she had no vagina.

Michael Scott, the branch manager, once organized a birthday party for Meredith in the hopes of boosting the staff’s morale and relieving the stress brought about by downsizing rumors. However, the festivities were broken by Michael's unintentional offensive jokes, which he prepared and wrote down for the party.

Season 2 saw Meredith joining Alcoholics Anonymous in order to deal with her alcohol problem, which the Dunder-Mifflin staff often uses to manipulate her. On New Year, she attempted to make a resolution not to drink anymore, but sadly failed to stick to it.

Meredith also has a tendency for exposing herself as she once exposed her breasts to Michael while she was drunk. She was also seen topless except for a life preserver in the episode "Booze Cruise," and confessed on Casino Night that she did not remember with whom she had slept with while drunk.

In season 4, Meredith was struck by Michael as he was driving to work, thus resulting to her cracked pelvis. The entire staff later visited her at the hospital. When she got back to the office, she asked Jim to sign her cast which was located at her crotch. He agrees to her request, awkwardly signing her cast.
