John Krasinski as Jim Halpert

Jim Halpert on NBC's The Office is played by John Krasinski. A paper salesman at the Scranton branch of paper-goods distributor Dunder Mifflin, he is intelligent but unmotivated. Instead of working, he spends most of his time scheming with receptionist Pam Beesly to play pranks on his obnoxious officemate, Dwight Schrute. Even if he is overqualified for the job, he couldn't get himself to leave Dunder Mifflin because of the girl of his dreams.

Jim had been harboring feelings for Pam for the longest time. However, Pam has also been engaged for the longest time to Roy Anderson. Nonetheless, she also developed a liking towards him, proven by her staring at a sweaty Jim after a game. The point was further driven when she kissed him after a victorious game. Jim finally mustered up all his guts and confessed his love for her during the Dunder Mifflin Casino Night, but was turned down by Pam. Determined, he went after her and kissed her. Pam eventually called of her wedding, but her newfound feelings for Jim weren’t given a chance to foster as he moved to another branch.

Jim returned to Scranton with a new girlfriend, Karen Filipelli. Pam, who awaited his return, subsequently denied her feelings for him. Since then, the two have had an awkward relationship, as both would not admit to being still in love with each other. Pam finally revealed her real feelings to Jim in a company outing in which she admitted to everyone that Jim was the reason behind the cancellation of her wedding. Soon after her revelation, the two started to officially date each other and the relationship was initially kept a secret. However, after they were caught by their co-workers sharing a quick kiss on the side of the street, they admitted that they were indeed seeing each other.
