Michael Scott (Steve Carell) is sadly not getting any love from Sabre big boss Jo (Kathy Bates) on The Office, but a confirmed migrant to Scranton might shake things up for him.

Entertainment Weekly confirms that Amy Pietz of Aliens in America fame has been cast for multiple episodes on The Office set to kick off in April.

Details are still a little scarce at this point, but it's safe to say that Office fans would love it very much if Pietz would indeed turn out to be a love interest for the beleaguered leader of the DM gang.

Let's just say it's been a while since the other Amy - Holly (Amy Ryan) - has dropped by Scranton, and Michael just seems a boost in that department. He was pretty involved with Jim (John Krasinski) and Pam's (Jenna Fischer) first baby.

Pietz, 41, played Annie Spadaro on the NBC sitcom Caroline in the City in the 1990s. Her other credits include Rodney, Ally McBeal, and The Closer. She played Justin's mom on the CW's Aliens in America.

Love is surely in the air on The Office. Erin (Ellie Kemper) and Andy (Ed Helms) just wrapped up their first "date" even though it's not really a date because Erin's foster brother was there. Even Dwight (Rainn Wilson) is starting to feel the biological clock ticking.

On the next episode of The Office, the sales staff lets Sabre's new "sales is king" policy get to their heads, leaving Michael with no choice but to hide their new, prized leads.
