One of the hottest points of discussion during CW President Dawn Ostroff's session at the Television Critics Association press tour was the decision to outsource Sunday nights to Media Rights Capital. Though the shows had no panel presence at the tour, premiere dates and descriptions of the four new shows were revealed.
The shows range from reality to sitcom to drama and feature
Full House's
Bob Saget,
Roseanne's
Laurie Metcalf, Judge Reinhold and
Autumn Reeser (best known as Taylor Townsend from
The O.C.). The current schedule includes programming from 6:30-10pm, though MRC will also have programming from 5-6:30pm to be announced later.

In Harm's Way
Premiere: Sept. 27, 7-8pm
Time slot premiere: Nov. 2, 6:30-7:30pm
This is a reality series that shows the lives of people who do some of the most dangerous jobs on Earth, including minesweepers and war photographers. If this sounds eerily familiar, it's because this Fall NBC is premiering a competition version of this premise called
America's Toughest Jobs.
Surviving Suburbia
Premiere: Nov. 2, 7:30-8pm
Surviving Suburbia is a half-hour sitcom about Keith (Bob Saget), a suburban dad with two kids who struggles to cope with life as new neighbors move in. Keith deals with the neighbors' hot 17-year-oold daughter, a son in love with a pregnant girl and many other issues that make suburban life seem not-so-serene.
Valentine
Premiere: Sept 21, 8-9pm
Valentine is a romantic comedy about a group of matchmaking gods and goddesses (literally). Grace Valentine (Jaime Murray, last seen as the demented Lila on
Dexter) is Aphrodite, the matriarch of the company. Her son Donny (Kristoffer Polaha from
North Shore who is inexplicably the same age as Murray) is Eros, now wielding a gun to shoot people into falling in love. Leo (Robert Baker) is Hercules, the strongman of the group, and the final goddess is Phoebe (Autumn Reeser), the somewhat psychic Oracle of Delphi.
The show also stars Nikki Snelson (
Legally Blonde: The Musical) and Patrick Fabian (Professor Landry from the third season of
Veronica Mars). The comedy is created by Kevin Murphy, who has previously worked on
Desperate Housewives and
Reaper. He also co-created the musical
Reefer Madness and, on a personal note, graduated from the same college as I did.
Easy Money
Premiere: Sept. 21, 9-10pm
Easy Money is a drama about a family that runs a high interest loan business. The show stars Laurie Metcalf, three-time Emmy winner for
Roseanne in her first role as a series regular on a drama. Metcalf is the matriarch of the business and works along with her husband and three children in the complicated world of money. Judge Reinhold co-stars as the oft-used private detective for the business.
