Previously on The New Adventures of Old Christine: Richard and New Christine bought Old Christine's dream house, Matthew and Barb slept together and Old Christine was diagnosed with perimenopause.

Few traditional, multi-camera sitcoms are actually funny, so it's surprising that The New Adventures of Old Christine ended its third season as funny as ever.  Aided by the expert comic timing of Wanda Sykes and Hamish Linklater, Julia Louis-Dreyfus redefined herself after Seinfeld with her Emmy-winning turn as the narcissistic, always stressed wine lover Christine Campbell.

As for what fans can expect in the 22-episodes of season 4, according to Entertainment Weekly's Michael Ausiello, the year will begin with a bang as Old Christine and Barb use California's gay marriage law to tie the knot.  Why the two get married isn't clear, but it will certainly involve some hare-brained scheme.
