Originally from Whitefish, Montana, at 60, Liz is retired. She has an associate's degree from New Mexico Tech and, despite her age, has more energy than most people. After her husband passed away, she adopted two children, an 18-year old and a 20-year old, and raised them herself. The 18-year old is a senior in high school while the 20-year old is in the army. Even then, she feels a sense of longing for the company of others.
Liz is one of the contestants in the ABC reality show The Mole. The show follows 12 contestants as they try to figure out who among them is The Mole, a saboteur who will keep them away from the prize money. It is up to the players to decide who The Mole is. They need to learn as much as possible about him or her because failure to do so means elimination. In the end, The Mole is revealed but only one will go home with the grand prize.
Liz feels that her advanced age is more an asset than a liability since she argues that true wisdom comes with age, especially in the company of young people. She does not let her age get in the way of going into adventures such as the one she will have in The Mole.
