The Millionaire Matchmaker
If you think money can buy love and happiness, Bravo's latest docu-drama, The Millionaire Matchmaker, just mind change your mind.  The show follows Patti Stanger, founder of an elite matchmaking service in Los Angeles, as she helps wealthy men find the women of their dreams.

Fiercely passionate about her work, Stanger is determined to help each of her clients find their perfect partners.  Before launching her company, Millionaire's Club, in January 2000, Stanger served as the Director of Marketing for Great Expectations, the largest and oldest dating service in the United States.

In The Millionaire Matchmaker, Stanger and her equally hard-working staff can be seen completely transforming their high-profile clients with the aid of personal shoppers, interior designers, date coaches and therapists.  The new and improved men are then sent out on dates with potentially compatible women.  At the same time, she must oversee her volatile staff, deal with the challenges of being a small business owner catering to the demands of wealthy clients, and keep her personal life on track.  Her devotion to her work and hectic lifestyle has resulted in many love connections and wedding invitations, but has also caused much drama and unpredictable outcomes.

In an interview with the New York Post, Stanger noted that the main problem with her clients is that they don't understand that knowing how to make lots of money doesn't necessarily make one a pro when it comes to relationships.

"Here's the problem: these men come from a world where they are a little more critical than the rest of us," Stanger explained.  "They think they deserve perfection.  Los Angeles is the only place where a 0 male expects a 10 and still thinks he can do better.  They come with a wish list and they want me to hit every bell on the list.  Then I give them the perfect girl and they screw it up."

The Millionaire Matchmaker is produced by Intuitive Entertainment and Bayonne Entertainment. Kevin Dill, Mechelle Collins and Rob Lee serve as executive producers.  It airs Tuesday nights at 10/9c on Bravo.
