There's no telling how
The L Word will close its curtains for its sixth and final season but Showtime has hinted that the drama that revolves around the lives of a group of lesbian friends in the trendy Los Angeles-area city of West Hollywood, California will be losing one of its major characters when the show kicks off with new episodes on January 18.
Warning: Spoilers ahead! If you don't want to know who gets killed off, read no further!
According to TV.com, Jenny Schecter is going to die! The character, played by
Mia Kirshner, who has been with
The L Word since the first season, will be found dead in a swimming pool during the first moments of the premiere. The cause of death, whether it's suicide, murder or just an accident, will be answered as the show progresses throughout the season.
Is Jenny finally getting what she deserves? In a recent poll of fans of the show, Jenny was voted the most hated character on
The L Word due to her tendency to cheat on her lovers for no reason, as well as her egotistical and selfish personality. On the other hand, fans have not seen the last of Jenny. Producers have promised frequent flashback scenes of the character, which is likely to prove crucial in the solving of her case.
The L World, which has "surpassed its niche as a gay show," has reportedly taken in viewers' opinions regarding the final season. Production started earlier this year and with only eight episodes to look forward to, some of the most popular topics from fans included the return of Carmen de la Pica Morales, a possible relationship between Jenny and Shane, a wedding between Bette and Tina, and an explanation of the disappearance of Eva “Papi” Torres.
For now, fans will just have to stay tuned on
The L Word's final season to find out how the Showtime drama will come to an end.
