For quite some time now, rumors have been swirling that
The Hills stars,
Heidi Montag and
Spencer Pratt would get their own reality show on MTV. In an interview on
The Tyra Banks Show, Montag stated that she was sick of
Lauren Conrad narrating her life. She felt that she and Spencer had been portrayed as villains, and she wanted the opportunity to show America that Lauren is the villain. It’s not exactly a great reason for someone to get their own reality show and MTV agreed. Instead, it is being reported today that the person getting her own show is not Heidi, but another
Hills star!
According to Us Weekly magazine,
Whitney Port will receive her own show this fall. A source close to the show says that it will follow Port at her job, working for fashion PR firm, People’s Revolution. No doubt that Kelly Cutrone was a factor in Port receiving her own show. As head of People’s Revolution, Cutrone is a unique individual, one who is tough, passionate, and interesting to watch.
Port will work on both coasts, in Los Angeles and New York, for the company and will make lots of new friends along the way. In particular, she starts spending time with a group of New York City socialites, including Olivia Palermo. “There will be more blondes in the city than you ever expected,” the source told Us Weekly.
As of the end of the season 3 of
The Hills, Lauren was hired to work at People’s Revolution with Whitney. It seems that their storylines could cross and there isn't enough to make two complete shows. However, with stories circulating that Lauren has started up a romance with
Laguna Beach costar Stephen Coletti, perhaps season 4 will focus more on that. It seems Whitney will work while Lauren will play.
