To trust or not to trust. That is the question for
Lauren Conrad, of MTV’s
The Hills. If LC isn’t willing to hand out her trust to anyone, you can’t blame the girl. She’s been screwed over by just about every friend of hers from Jen Bunny to
Heidi Montag. Yet, she seemed to dive right into a friendship with Stephanie Pratt, the sister of her number one arch nemesis,
Spencer Pratt. To anybody in their right mind, Stephanie seems like the last person that Lauren should be entering into a close friendship with but she threw caution to the wind and did it anyway. It looks like, this season, between uncomfortable parties and boyfriend stealing, she might live to regret that.
On last night’s episode of
The Hills, Stephanie invited Lauren to her birthday party at posh club, Boulevard 3.
Audrina and Lo, despite not being able to get along or even attempt to be pleasant around one another, were also invited. Lauren asked repeatedly if Spencer and Heidi would be attending but Stephanie said no. So who was surprised when the pair decided to show up, with balloons in tow and sit on one side of the birthday girl while Lauren sat on the other? Not MTV viewers, who probably could’ve predicted the awkward run in.
Yet, the shock on Lauren and Lo’s faces was apparent.
Brody and Frankie took off the minute Spencer showed his face and it wasn’t long before Lo started peer pressuring Lauren to leave as well. After seeing Lauren at the party, Spencer vowed never to talk to his sister again but something tells me that blood runs thicker than water and the two will be back on good terms in due time. The birthday party cameo didn’t sit well with Lauren, who is now starting to have her doubts about Ms. Pratt.
In an upcoming episode, it appears that Stephanie heads out on a date with Doug, the guy Lauren has been dating. In an interview after the promo for the season aired, Stephanie said that it wasn’t a date at all and that MTV just edited it to look that way. Whether or not that’s true remains to be seen until the episode airs and viewers can judge for themselves. Until then, the question now seems to be: can you, or should you, trust a Pratt?
Which Pratt do you trust?
