The Hills: Lauren Conrad Speaks Spencer and Sex Tape on 'The View'
Despite her stint on The Hills over and done with, Lauren Conrad is still the subject of numerous controversies.  She may have wanted to put all that behind her, but there's no doubt it's going to follow her everywhere.  On a recent appearance on The View, the reality TV starlet discussed her upcoming book.  However, she couldn't help comment on the rumor that's been plaguing her lately: the one about her alleged sex tape.

Even though she was brought over to introduce her novel, LA Candy, there were more pressing matters to attend to.  Talk show co-host Elisabeth Hasselback brought up the issue of Spencer Pratt's supposed apology, and suddenly caught the star off-guard.

When asked about the sincerity of Pratt's apology, Lauren Conrad replied: "Umm...I mean, to be perfectly honest, I wasn't on the other line of that call.  That was filmed and I wasn't on the other end."

She went on: "I didn't even know about it.  So no, I didn't get an apology.  He's lying." This raised the question about her attendance to the Speidi wedding, and Lauren Conrad only replied by saying she went because she might soon regret not going.

Her fellow co-stars Spencer and Heidi Pratt have appeared on The View earlier this week, admitting that Spencer had lied about the inexistence of Lauren Conrad's sex tape.  It was an issue dating back in 2007, but was revisited all of a sudden.

Spencer Pratt went on to say that he took back his words because Heidi wanted Lauren at their wedding.  He apologized for spreading Lauren's sex tape story and told the hosts of The View: "I said I'm sorry because [Conrad] said, 'I will come to the wedding if you say I'm sorry' -- for something I didn't even do."

When the talk show's co-host Sherri Shepherd asked whether or not he didn't actually leak the information, Spencer simply stated, "It's not a rumor.  It was fact."
