Lauren Conrad has reportedly bid farewell to
Teen Vogue after serving three seasons as an intern for the fashion magazine, as featured on MTV's reality series,
The Hills. She has been dropped along with
Hills costar
Whitney Port, who was previously promoted from intern to regular employee.
As of now, MTV officials have not commented on the issue but insiders have hinted that Conrad and Port's positions have come to an end with the magazine's upcoming March issue. The girls will reportedly be featured in some sort of working capacity for the additional eight episodes of
The Hills, which are scheduled to air this spring, and will pick-up where the finale left off, following Conrad and Port as they travel to France to cover the Crillon Ball, an annual international debutante gala that took place on November 24, 2007.
"The girls have moved on from Teen Vogue," a spokeswoman told
Women's Wear Daily, declining to comment if the publication will continue to be a part of the series.
Teen Vogue's coverage of the Crillon Ball will also appear in the magazine's March issue, which according to
Women's Wear Daily, has Port still listed as West Coast fashion contributor and Conrad as intern. But after that, they're both history.
Conrad's job hunting, on the other hand, may not last too long as she was already spotted dining with event promoter Brent Bolthouse in Los Angeles last December 22. The only problem is that Bolthouse already employs her
Hills co-star and rival
Heidi Montag.
"LC won't work with Heidi, so Heidi will be looking for a new job," the insider told
OK! in its January 14 issue.
Furthermore, a friend of Montag reportedly confirmed Bolthouse's interest in Conrad, and Montag isn't taking the news too well.
"She is devastated and thinks Lauren is doing this to ruin her life," the friend told
OK!
