Controversies abound in every area of The Hills, as the show's star, Lauren Conrad, was recently spotted having lunch with the big sister of her archenemy, Heidi.  Conrad was seen at the Café Amandine in Santa Monica, California with Holly Montag, and raised a few eyebrows along the way. 

The new season of The Hills will be premiering soon, and the cast seems to be busy with all the episodes that need to be filmed.  However, a quick break from work could prove disastrous to the 22-year old starlet.  She caught up with Heidi Montag's sibling to talk, as Holly has recently moved from Colorado to Los Angeles.  With her being in the area, is it possible that a Montag-Conrad friendship could spark once again? 

The issue that needs to be tackled is whether or not Lauren is trying to win Holly over to get back at Heidi.  She could be crossing the line with her actions, but since no one heard what they talked about, we can't be sure.  It's also possible that Lauren is just trying to renew her friendship with Holly, and has nothing to do with her feud with Heidi.  Holly and Lauren have been on good terms before, so it shouldn't be a big deal if they hang out again. 

Holly Montag has already signed up for The Hills' third season, and Lauren will of course be on the show.  Lauren Conrad recently earned recognition during the 10th Annual Teen Choice Awards at Hollywood, winning the Choice TV Female Reality/Variety Star Award. Heidi was also nominated but it was Lauren who took home the life-sized surfboard award. The Hills also won the Choice TV Celebrity Reality Award for this year.

MTV will air the fourth season of The Hills on August 18, but there have also been rumors about a spin-off show focusing on Lauren Conrad's job in New York.
