Being the resident bad girl on
The Hills doesn't stop Kristin Cavallari from doing something good for the world. Last month, she flew to El Salvador to help out those in need, and she found the experience truly satisfying. Charity work certainly can't compare to blowing all your money on
a 10-hour plastic surgery operation.
Returning from her goodwill trip, the reality TV star told
Us Magazine just how great it felt to know you're lending a hand. "Going to El Salvador was such an incredible experience," said the 23-year-old celebrity. "It really put everything into perspective and made me appreciate everything I have."
As part of her work in the Central American country, Kristin Cavallari helped decorate a local school by painting murals. She also participated in games with some of the students there, enjoying her time playing soccer and hopscotch.
"Seeing how happy and excited the kids were was the best feeling in the world," the star exclaimed. The children certainly appreciated her presence there, whether or not they were fans of
The Hills.
Speaking of that MTV show, they're currently filming the sixth season with Kristin Cavallari on board. There's bound to be more dramatic plot twists now that she's back for more, but she may be taking a break in between camera time.
According to the source, the star will be traveling to Kenya later this year with the One Kid, One World organization. It will be another mission for her to accomplish, something we could certainly admire her for. Though it really is unexpected to see someone from
The Hills doing this, it's great to hear that Kristin Cavallari is set on doing something to make the world a little bit better.
We're hoping this could spill over to the show, but we highly doubt it considering how Speidi's still around. But with Kristin running the series, there'd still be hope. Maybe, anyway.
