'The Hills' Gets New Season, Kristin Cavallari Excited
There's just no stopping MTV from pushing through with a whole new season of The Hills.  The season 5 finale just aired last Tuesday, and already the stars are gearing up for next year's run.  Of course, who else would be thrilled but Kristin Cavallari herself?

Entertainment Weekly caught up with the reality TV celebrities during the series' live finale at MTV Studios.  The network has decided to give the show another go, and season 6 is set to air next year.  Production begins in January, as mentioned by Jayde Nicole in an interview.

But enough of Jayde stealing Kristin's spotlight.  The 22-year-old star of The Hills has expressed how grateful she is at another shot on the show.  No one knows how long she'll be staying though, but she's already embraced her TV status anyway.

"I've had the best time--I really have," Cavallari answered when asked how she felt about doing another season.  "I feel like I have the best job!  Why not?!"

She was also proud of herself for making it this far, no longer shedding her image as an MTV reality television actress.  "It's like I'm in it now.  I might as well keep going!" she said with a laugh.

Along with the decision to renew The Hills for another season is giving The City another installment as well.  The show's a spin-off of the Cavallari-starrer, so it's no surprise that the network greenlit it.

Star of The City Whitney Port was just as ecstatic at the idea as Kristin was with The Hills.  The new season will focus on her working on her fashion line, something Port has long wanted.

"That's my reality," the former Hills celebrity exclaimed.  "It's where this collection is going to be sold, who we're going to put it on, what magazines it's going to be on."

Though the next season of The Hills will feature less of the originals - Audrina and Lo have left, and Stephanie Pratt's contemplating, there's no doubt Kristin Cavallari will try her best.  She told MTV in the past, "It's work!  And drama sells.  I think that's why they're bringing me in, because I know what works!"

Well, we'll just have to see as season 6 rolls around.
