Behind the scenes of The Hills, the actors have quite a lot to say about their co-stars. Okay, so we all know how the show's a bit scripted to prompt these people on what to say. But when the camera's not rolling, what exactly do they say? More so, what can they say about LC's so-called replacement, Kristin Cavallari?
So far in the series, this newcomer (or returning star, since she was in Laguna Beach) has been known to be the ultimate drama queen. It looks as though that's the whole point of her character - to stir up trouble. Even so, the past cast of The Hills knows that this drama is what works. And they actually enjoy it.
"It's been fun," Brody Jenner revealed to
MTV News. He dated Kristin Cavallari before, which means he has something more to say about her.
"Me and Kristin have always gotten along," Jenner went on. "We used to date way in the past, but we've always kept a good friendship and it's fun. Obviously, I love Lauren. But Kristin adds something different and new. She doesn't take anything from anybody, and so it puts a different spin on 'The Hills.' It's a good little twist every week."
Another
Hills alum discussed her thoughts on Kristin, and even though she's away in
The City, she's aware of the drama she left behind. Whitney Port said, "I think it's great that she's on it."
And just like Brody, she believes in the new vision that
The Hills will have thanks to the newcomer. "I think Kristin will probably bring a level of drama that will be enticing and intriguing and fun for people to watch. It will just be different," she said.
They both say Kristin's different, but it's only because she is an entirely different person from Lauren Conrad (duh). Even she admitted that she isn't around to be or beat LC at her own game. Instead, she'll turn
The Hills her way and make the city her own. No matter how forced the drama can get.
