Uh-oh. What's worse? Over-exposed stars on The Hills or Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag pitching their own reality show? In this case, both scenarios are plausible, they barely differ, and hardly anyone's rejoicing.
The Associated Press reports that the two fame-hungry reality show celebrities are looking to branch out of their current series. The couple announced on Monday that they wanted viewers to witness even more of their lives, as if we haven't had enough.
Let's see: we can watch them on
The Hills, we read about them almost everyday, and they've even got a new book out. All this is because of that tome they wrote, titled "How to be Famous: Our Guide to Looking the Part, Playing the Press, and Becoming a Tabloid Fixture."
This Pratt couple was interviewed while they were on tour, promoting the book. It was discovered that they're still on the prowl for more appearances. Well, this was already an expected turn of events.
Spencer and Heidi told the publication that
The Hills has a limited focus on the lives of its cast members. They said the show doesn't acknowledge the stars' fame, and the two wanted the audiences to see the bigger picture.
"You don't get to see our everyday lives and what we do," Heidi Pratt explained. She added that if they're given a chance to have their own show, they'd be willing to film live segments. Isn't that already going on in
The Hills?
Then again, Speidi won't be leaving their MTV haven behind. They still plan on appearing on
The Hills, while filming a reality series of their own. Apparently, that and being on the jungle in
I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here weren't enough.
But while MTV still hasn't given any comments on whether they'll push through with this or not, let's just treasure these few moments in a world that still isn't Speidi-centric. It's only going to be a matter of time before the Pratts take over. Really.
