While there have been numerous rumors of Audrina Patridge getting her own reality series, this time it's been confirmed. The star will be leaving The Hills when it wraps up a sixth season and will be focusing on developing her own show at last.
According to Entertainment Weekly, the new program will be produced by Mark Burnett of Survivor and The Apprentice fame. The solo project has also been tentatively called The Audrina Show and is currently under development at MTV.
Patridge reportedly signed a deal with Burnett last March, and she went on to drop hints about her upcoming series. She soon appeared on Ryan Seacrest's KISS-FM radio show and said that her project has already been picked up. However, she hadn't disclosed the network which was responsible yet.
"We finally found a home for the show, which I can't really say who won yet," she revealed. "It'll be cable I think."
It's been stated that
The Audrina Show will be focusing on the star's personal and professional life, far away from
The Hills. At the time, the
Hollywood Reporter talked to the producer about the new project.
Burnett told the press: "We are truly pleased to have the chance to work with Audrina. She has already proved her star quality, and we can't wait to show her fans worldwide the next stage of her life and career."
"As soon as I'm done with the bonus episodes of the fifth season I segway right into my new show with Mark Burnett that I'm also helping produce on," Patridge said in March.
This also raised the speculation that
The Hills would be ending soon. With all the cast members departing the show for other endeavors, it's a wonder how long it's bound to go on. They can keep adding new blood to the series, but of course the fans will always demand their original line-up. Still, Audrina has little business with that now.
Talking about her show, Patridge exclaimed: "It may or may not be in L.A.. It's basically about my life, what everyone doesn't see on
The Hills -- like, the other side of my life."
