Pan-Am was cancelled by ABC last season, but it looks like one of my favorite flight attendants has found a new job on another one of my favorite shows. According to a tweet from CBS, Christina Ricci is set to take a guest turn on CBS' hit drama The Good Wife in its upcoming fourth season.

The Good Wife is available on Amazon Prime.

Ricci will play a role described as "a controversial comedienne needing Lockhart/Gardner's help." The guest role will be Ricci's first since Pan-Am went off the air.

I'm sure I'm in the minority here, but I'm going admit right here and now that I actually enjoyed ABC's Pan-Am last season and was quite sorry to hear that it had been cancelled. I thought the series had just started to hit its stride and I was just starting to get invested in the characters when, poof!, it was gone. I should know by now not to get invested in new shows too soon, but I couldn't help it.

The actress joins a long list of talented guest stars that are making guest appearances on The Good Wife this season, including of Kristin Chenoweth, Nathan Lane, Maura Tierney, Amanda Peet, Marc Warren and Miriam Shor. According to a tweet by frequent guest star Denis O'Hare, Brian Dennehy will be added to that list as well. Talk about some strong talent!

With a list of guest stars like that, plus the already amazing cast and writing that The Good Wife has, it looks like the fourth season is coming together quite nicely. From what we've seen in the clips and photos that have been released by CBS so far, we know that this season is going to be volatile and full of all kinds of tantalizing drama -- just the kind of stuff that has made this show great since it premiered.

What do you think of this latest bit of casting news? Are you excited to see Christin Ricci on The Good Wife? What about the other guest stars? Is there anyone in particular that you can't wait to see?

Don't forget to watch The Good Wife when it returns Sept. 30, 2012 on CBS.
